A two-hour webinar focusing on the revisions of the thresholds and what they mean.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) just issued a final rule to revise the “institutional” and “transactional” coverage thresholds under Regulation C. Because these thresholds, along with other factors, establish which institutions and which transactions are subject to HMDA, they’re incredibly important for institutions to understand and get right. Since the CFPB is increasing the closed-end mortgage loan threshold and decreasing the open-end line of credit threshold, this could mean some institutions no longer have to report while others have added reporting responsibilities (effective January 1, 2022) – will this rule help, hurt, or be irrelevant for your institution?

While reviewing the new rules, this webinar will review the coverage rules under HMDA – the institutional coverage and transactional coverage requirements, as well as the definition of “dwelling” and the exemptions.

Finally, does the rule affect the partial exemption thresholds (for data reporting)? If so, how?

In this webinar you will learn the following:

  • Overview of Current Rule
  • Revision in Thresholds – What this Means
  • Partial Exemption
Who Should Listen
