Anita O’Connor is a Senior Consultant with FORVIS. Ms. O’Connor has been providing financial and operational audit and management consulting services to various industries, including financial institutions, since 1977. Her previous experience prior to joining FORVIS in 1996 included 16 years with the public accounting firm of Ernst & Young, LLP where she was an Audit Senior Manager with additional responsibilities as the Director of Human Resources for the firm’s Iowa practice. Ms. O’Connor’s current responsibilities include management of the Louisville Office’s internal audit practice, which includes establishing outsourced internal audit functions, designing internal audit programs, and conducting internal audits for regional and community banks. In addition to internal audit, she has provided consulting services related to Sarbanes Oxley Sections 302 and 404 implementation and ongoing compliance, review, and assessment of risk management systems and organizational management studies, and independent loan and credit administration reviews.
Ms. O’Connor holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Internal Auditors.
