The Customer's Expectation of Privacy
Professional Bank Services, Inc. (PBS) is fully aware of the privacy and security issues surrounding the Internet and e-commerce. It is PBS' goal to protect our clients' privacy, while maintaining a functional and efficient web site. PBS uses industry standard efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of personal information.
Should any future enhancements to our site change the way we handle personal information, this policy will be updated.
Use, Collection, and Retention of Customer Information
PBS does not maintain a database of credit card numbers. Credit card numbers are removed from the e-commerce site each business day.
PBS does not share, sell, or make available to third parties any information about our clients, except where disclosure may be required by law.
Information received via e-mail may be stored in a customer database and may be used to send additional information pertaining or related to the content of the e-mail. A paper copy of the e-mail may be retained for our records.
Information received from our Request for Information Forms will be stored in a customer database and may be used to send additional information pertaining or related to other PBS products. A paper copy of the form may be retained for our records.
Information received from our Purchasing and Seminar Registration Forms will be maintained in a customer database and may be used to send additional information pertaining or related to other PBS products. A paper copy of the form may be retained for our records.
Certain information will be retained to facilitate internal traffic monitoring of our site. Measuring the number of visitors and what pages are viewed the most, will enable us to provide you with the information you most desire. The types of information that may be recorded includes: the domain name of your service provider, internet address, date and time, and pages viewed.
Use of cookies: PBS does not utilize cookies. It will be necessary to re-enter registration information each time you wish to make a purchase or register for a seminar.
Collection of information on minors: As we have no way of distinguishing the age of individuals accessing our site, we cannot control the collection of data from minors and apply the same privacy policy. Should a minor provide us with personally identifiable information without parental or guardian consent, the parent or guardian should contact us by e-mail at pbs@probank.com or siteadmin@probank.com to remove the information.
Maintaining Accurate Information
PBS will take all necessary steps to ensure client information is accurate and will respond to requests to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner.
Limiting Employee Access
PBS will limit employee access to personally identifiable information about our clients to those employees who have a bona fide business reason to have access. PBS will make every reasonable effort to ensure employees understand the importance of confidentiality and client privacy. If necessary, PBS will take appropriate disciplinary actions to enforce privacy responsibilities.
Protection of Information and Security
PBS' site utilizes industry standard security tools, including SSL (Secure Socket Layers) to protect your data. SSL strongly encrypts the data you send while on the secure site. You can identify when you are accessing a secure area by examining areas of your browser. The "location box" in your browser window will change from http:// to https://. In the left-hand, bottom corner of your screen you will see a complete key or closed lock, depending upon your browser. A message may be received from your browser indicating you are entering a secure area.
PBS takes several steps to keep things on our site as safe as possible. For example, we keep orders encrypted until we are ready to process them. We do not keep a copy of your credit card number on the e-commerce site. While this may be a minor inconvenience, we believe it is the safest way to do business on the Internet.
